The automotive landscape is changing. Over the next few years, there will be a big shift for hybrid and fully electric vehicles as car manufacturers switch – some entirely – to battery power. Buyers will soon be able to buy an EV in almost any segment, even supercars and hypercars.

But it’s not all bad for gas lovers. Brands such as Aston Martin, Chevy and Lamborghini plan to keep the petrol engine alive for at least a little longer with new sporty offerings on the horizon. Along with that, we have compiled a list of 50 cars, trucks and SUVs that should be on the market by the end of 2026 – gas, hybrid and electric.
The Top New Cars Coming By 2025: All You Need To Know
Alfa Romeo is one of many brands moving to battery power in the form of plug-in hybrids and full EVs. Its iconic Giulia sedan will switch from gas to electric sometime in the near future with rumors suggesting more than 1,000 horsepower from the electric Giulia with the possibility of more body styles – such as a wagon variant – joining the lineup . .
Another upcoming Alfa is the rumored sports car or supercar – although this one should arrive before the electric Giulia, and possibly with gas power only. Early rumors suggested the planned Alfa sports car would use some form of plug-in hybrid power, but the latest reports suggest it could be the brand’s last “old school” coupe. We know it will have retro design cues (like our version pictured here) and should arrive before the end of the year.
The mid-engine Valhalla will be the next supercar in Aston Martin’s range. Expected in early 2024, the Aston Martin Valhalla will likely have a flat crank V8 engine and could be north of 900 hp with an expected 0-60 time of around three seconds flat.
We’ve already seen the Audi A6 E-Tron in concept form (pictured here), but the production version should debut sometime later next year before going on sale. With Audi’s scalable Premium Platform Electric (PPE) architecture underneath, the A6 E-Tron will have 800-volt charging capability and will offer up to 400 miles of range. The most powerful version can also pack 469 hp through two electric motors.
Mercedes Benz Eqs Debuts New Look, Improved Range
Bentley’s future is electric as the company commits to a full battery-powered lineup from 2026. The first of its EVs doesn’t have many details, but we can at least look at the 2019 EXP 100 GT concept for design – inspiration.
The 453-hp M2 is already a cracker as it is, but BMW plans to push the envelope even further with the upcoming M2 CS. Expected to arrive in 2025, the BMW M2 CS could get more than 500 hp with an upgraded version of the eight-speed automatic found on the current car. Sorry, no tutorial planned.
With a fresh architecture, BMW’s Neue Klasse (or New Class) of EVs will help breed another brand of electric vehicle for the automaker from 2025. This version takes cues from the Vision D concept unveiled earlier this year, but the production version shouldn’t be too far off. Expect the BMW Neue Klasse to have a better lineup and even better technology than the current crop of BMW EVs. We should have even more details later this year.
If you thought the new Corvette Z06 packed a punch, wait until the new ZR1 (or Zora) arrives. Reported to have a 5.5-liter flat-scroll twin-turbocharged V8 engine under the hood, the ZR1 could have more than 850 hp, a 0-60 time of just 2.5 seconds, and the same eight-speed dual-clutch transmission found on the current Z06. It should appear in 2025 before going on sale in early 2026.
Bentley’s Electric Car Strategy: First Ev By 2025
Rest in peace to the current Dodge lineup as we know it. Soon, the Charger Daytona SRT EV will live on in the places of the current Charger and Challenger. We’ve already seen it in prototype form, but when it makes its official debut next year, the Daytona SRT EV will have up to 600 hp and an 800-volt electrical architecture underneath that should give it around 500 miles of range.
Ferrari’s next big hypercar should arrive in 2025 as a spiritual successor to the beloved LaFerrari. We’ve already seen a number of camouflaged prototypes previewing the wild-looking hypercar’s dramatic design, which includes an S-channel hood and massive rear wing. But we won’t see this Ferrari in its final form until 2025. Rumor has it that the new Ferrari halo could even drop its V12 instead of a twin-turbo V8.
The Ferrari SF90 is already a 1,000 hp, 211 mph hypercar in its own right. But an even more powerful, more capable version of the SF90 will soon arrive in the form of the Versione Speciale. It will use the same twin-turbo V8 and electric motor setup as the base SF90, but with more power. Expect it to arrive sometime this year.
There is still no official timetable as to when we might see the amazing Genesis X sports car hit production. But hey, at least the company confirmed it was happening. Early reports suggest the sports car will be fully electric and cost at least $200,000.

Will they or won’t they? The ongoing saga with the Hyundai N Vision 74 continues, but there is a strong indication that the sports car could happen. Following the concept’s debut in 2022, reports have suggested a possible limited production run. But then Hyundai rejected those theories. Then again recently, there were rumors that the N Vision 74 would indeed go into production – but it’s still unclear how true that might be.
Although the Lamborghini Revuelto has just been discontinued, rumors are already swirling about a hotter SVJ variant. This rendering previews what the potentially more powerful Revuelto could look like, with even more power under that pretty hood. The SVJ should use the same V12 hybrid powertrain as the standard Revuelto, albeit with more power.
It’s actually unclear if the LFA name will return, but we do know that Lexus has a new electric sports car inspired by the iconic LFA in the works. The concept pictured here is the gorgeous Electrified Sport which will debut in 2021 and will, unsurprisingly, form the basis of a new Lexus electric sports car. Early reports suggest it could have a 0-60 time of around two seconds and even a manual transmission.
The Eletre SUV marked Lotus’ first move into mainstream products – although the roughly $85,000 Envya sedan will be the next Lotus with mass appeal when it arrives later this year. And like the larger Eletre and all Lotus products from now on, it will also be electric.

The new Mercedes-Benz AMG GT will debut later this year. It won’t be fully electric (yet) with Mercedes retaining the V8 powertrain for now, with a mild hybrid high-performance option possible, but it will look very similar to the previous AMG GT as spy shots have shown . And this new GT will be available in two flavors at launch: 43 and 53.
The Mercedes lineup is undergoing an evolution that will soon see all gas cars switch to battery power, including some of the company’s smallest offerings. The Mercedes EQA sedan (not the SUV already on sale) should arrive in 2024 as the entry-level EV for the brand. Using the gas-powered CLA and A-Class models as inspiration, the EQA should have sleek four-door coupe styling and at least 200 hp on tap.
The Polestar 5 will serve as the automaker’s flagship vehicle when it arrives in 2024. The Swedish EV will compete with the likes of the Porsche Taycan and Audi E-Tron with up to 884 hp in the most powerful trim, and a capacity of 800 -volt, which means it should be able to reach a charge of 80 percent in just 20 minutes with a DC fast charger. But the Polestar 5 could also cost as much as $90,000 to start.
The Polestar 5 sedan will act as the flagship for the brand for at least a year before the stylish O2 Convertible sports car arrives in 2025. It will make its way to production as the Polestar 6 and will have more than 800 hp. It will also be Polestar’s first router and should be one of the few all-electric droptops on the market.

Porsche promises to build a new hypercar in the 918 Spyder and Carrera GT. But when is that vehicle coming? It is still unknown; CEO Oliver Blume said a hypercar was “always part of Porsche’s strategy” but was not committed to a timeline. But if the recent Mission X concept is any indication, a production version shouldn’t be too far off. The production Mission X (or whatever it’s called) will be electric and Porsche intends it to be the fastest production car ever around the Nurburgring.
